FAQ
|
| Q. Will you do custom work if someone requests it or has their
own carcass? A. YES! We love to do custom work and challenging orders! If someone has their own carcass that they want us to prep, we can make arrangements with them to ship the carcass to us. |
| Q. Are animals killed for their skeletons? A. Absolutely not...we use only carcasses of animals that have died from natural causes, or incidents such as road kills, predator kills or legal hunting remains. Ethical and Conservation considerations are of utmost importance to us here at Art by Evolution! |
| Q. Are these made of real bones? A. Yes, every one of our works are carefully and painstakingly assembled from real bones! |
| Q. Why do you do this? A. We have always been intrigued by the form and function of wild creatures, so why not do what we love? |
| Q. Why do people buy this stuff? A. The majority of our patrons use our specimens for educational presentations, scientific research, professional exhibits, and some for private collections. |
| Q. Do you support any conservation or educational organizations? A. YES! As a scientist and educator myself, I identify with both causes. I give much of my "free" time to volunteer on the board of directors for a nonprofit organization that works in Peru (visit the Zoo Peru webpage). We also have a monthly contest on this website for teachers, where they can enter to win a FREE SKULL! Please see our Contest page for more information. |
| Q. How do you clean the flesh off of the bones? A. Please see our Process page for a detailed answer to this question. |
